At the suggestion of his family, he began training in naginata alongside kendo in the second grade and upon entering International Budo University, he dedicated himself exclusively to Naginata. He is a two-time World Naginata Champion and a four-time winner of the All Japan Men's Naginata Championship. His videos include “Naginata Basics”and “Applied Naginata” (BAB Japan).
